The Bendigo Tartan is the official tartan of the City of Greater Bendigo and was listed in the Scottish Register of Tartans on 9 September 2015, the day Queen Elizabeth became the longerst reigning monarch in British history.
The tartan colour represent the past, present and future of Bendigo, the largest inland city in Victoria - the red for the earth, the green for the forests surrounding the cvity, the blue for Victoria's state colour, the white of the mullock heaps that dot the landscape and gold, riches of the past and confdence for the future.
