Thousands streamed into Bendigo's Rosalind Park last Saturday for Scots Day Out ... to experience a great taste of tartans, bagpipes, dancing, games and most of all fun. Shortbread sold out and there was barely a a morsel of haggis left when the Kilt Dash kicked up the finale featuring the colourful massed pipes and drums and highland dancers. Wind down after SDO at The Metropolitan
After a day of celebrations in Rosalind Park for Scots Day Out 2018 tomorrow, head over to The Metropolitan, our official after-event base where members of the Celtic Piping Club will be in session. The switch from bagpipes to small pipes for the pub session will be the ideal wind-down while enjoying friendships with many of the performers SDO - it can be tough playing bagpipes and drums all day or engaging in sword fight tournaments while in leather kilts. Dash along in your kilt
Be part of the finale at Scots Day Out on Saturday by donning your kilt and attempting the rapid dash from the View St Gates to the Curnow water fountain in Rosalind Park. George Flack of Flack Advisory is again sponsoring the kilt dash timed for 4.30 as the pipe bands and dancers are assembling for their spectacular contribution to the finale. The only requirement is that you must wear a kilt or skirt as you race through the crowd lining the Rosalind Park path along Bendigo
