Bendigo Mac meets First Minister
Bendigo’s official tartan ambassador, Bendigo Mac, shared good company with First Minister Nicola Sturgeon on his latest stowaway adventures to Scotland.
The tartan koala who promotes the Victorian city of Bendigo and its annual Scots Day Out celebrations shared a spot in the Royal Gallery at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo with the First Minister.
After the show, Nicola Sturgeon had an official introduction to Bendigo Mac and discovered more about the official City of Greater Bendigo tartan and the city’s celebrations of traditional and contemporary Scottish culture. It’s not the first time Bendigo Mac has spread the word for Bendigo.
Last year in Scotland he had a strategic position in front of BBC cameras during the livestream of the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow.
Scots Day Out 2018 will be held on Saturday 5 March.
