Time to reboot

SCOTS DAY OUT … The reboot after COVID-impacted years will see one of Australia’s favourite traditional and contemporary Scottish celebrations back on the calendar in 2023.

The event, first held a decade ago, will for 2023 also play an important role in helping flood-hit communities in their economic recovery after the emergency of October this year.

As SDO reboots along with pipe bands, dancers and Scottish diaspora organisations from up to three years without some celebrations, the central Victorian event for 2023 will be held in the Loddon River community of Bridgewater.

Scots Day Out is teaming with Kooyoora Women’s Network that in 2022 held a small Celtic Connections celebration in the town.

The partnership will allow both celebrations to prosper along with the town and also significantly build the volunteer team that is at the heart of presenting SDO.

Bridgewater is just 20 minutes from Bendigo and accommodation is available in the town and also nearby Inglewood (five minutes away).
